Hey SM70, don’t buy an Avalon or Camry or whatever boring thing you found. Get another Lexus instead, there are many to choose from.
Oh so many.
Too many one might say.

Yeah, sm70! Might I recommend an LX470?

List of Lexii I am currently considering:
SC300 or 400
LS400 (2nd gen)
GS300
IS300 or IS250
MAYBE an ES330 or 350 but I doubt that.
The problem is that with an Avalon Limited you get more features with fewer miles for your <$7000.

That was peak Lexus styling IMHO. Very clean, simple - and classy. I can’t even decide whether I like the GS better or the LS. The GS, I guess- but it’s tough.

You don’t want any features on a 10+ year old Lexus/Toyota that’s not heated seats and a nice stereo. We purposely bought a base model RX350 when my wife was looking. You want the simple stereo, not nav.

My LX450 didn’t come with either of the two options- center console carphone or f/r lockers. I really wish it had the second option. Meh.

Sooner or later I’ll get to posting about a 93 Lexus I purchased.

GET AN LS400! 97 is the best year IMO.

I’d prefer slightly better fuel economy, but if I found the right one I might.

So so wrong. 1998 had the better exterior, interior, had more power, had better guages, and was just better.

Based on what I know about you, I don’t think the IS and ES are cars you would enjoy.
But the LS is a truly great car.

I don’t hate the Predator Grille as everyone else seems to, but that was indeed peak Lexus. Especially the facelift LS430.

Please do so!
What 93 Lexus would that be?

Around me, there are a few very well preserved LS430s running around - including a dark blue one with a tan interior. I’m tempted to follow the driver home and offer to buy it.
I like the S160 GS just as much, maybe more...

Idk, I’m slightly biased but I think the 97 looks better than the facelift.

Buy hum bug. The facelift is graceful as could be.

The brochure called it an executive sport sedan.
